UNIFIL’s Sector West in Ayta Ash Sha’b to support the local community’ and the Social Development Center
This morning, the Italian CIMIC of Sector West and doctors from the Polish contingent carried out medical examinations and a donation of building materials at the Social Development Center in Ayta Ash Sha’b. Over three tons of construction materials were donated by the Italian contingent to the center’s Director, Dr. Siham Droubi, for the renovation of the school wing to allow children in the Village area to reopen soon. At the same time, the Polish contingent and its doctors carried out over sixty visits to the inhabitants of Ayta, distributing medicines and supporting the center’s pharmacy. During the visits UNIFIL peacekeepers entertained the children with games and small gifts. The Sector West’s activities in favor of the Blue Line’s communities confirm UNIFIL’s closeness to the population of the south and its willingness to facilitate the establishment in line with the United Nations mandate.
نفّذ فريق التعاون المدني العسكري الإيطالي (CIMIC) في القطاع الغربي وأطباء من الكتيبة البولندية فحوصات طبية وقدّموا تبرعًا بمواد بناء إلى مركز التنمية الاجتماعية في عيتا الشعب. وقد تبرعت الكتيبة الإيطالية بأكثر من ثلاثة أطنان من مواد البناء لمديرة المركز الدكتورة سهام دروبي، من أجل ترميم جناح المدرسة بما يتيح للأطفال في منطقة البلدة استئناف الدراسة قريبًا. وفي الوقت نفسه، أجرى عناصر الكتيبة البولندية وأطباؤها أكثر من ستين معاينة لأهالي عيتا، ووزعوا الأدوية ودعموا صيدلية المركز. وخلال الزيارات، أمتع جنود حفظ السلام التابعون لليونيفيل الأطفال بالألعاب والهدايا الصغيرة. وتؤكد أنشطة القطاع الغربي لصالح مجتمعات الخط الأزرق قرب اليونيفيل من سكان الجنوب واستعدادها لتسهيل الاستقرار بما يتماشى مع تفويض الأمم المتحدة.
